Brief description
Dmitriy Utkin was one of the founding members of Wagner, whose call sign became the name of the whole group. He was responsible for organising field operations, including recruiting and training (New America, 2025).
Utkin was known to have an affinity for the Third Reich; some other members of the group and other paramilitaries shared these views (Margolin, 2024:17), but these did not appear to represent the ideology of the group as a whole.
