Brief description
The Dzhokhar Dudayev International Peacekeeping Battalion is a Chechen unit that has been fighting in Ukraine since 2014. The creation of both the group and the Sheikh Mansur Battalion was initiated by the Free Caucasus Social and Political Movement (Chechenews.com, 2022).
It formally subordinated itself to the Armed Forces of Ukraine after Russia’s latest invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
