When Bobrov was appointed head of the local branch of the Investigations Committee, he opened criminal investigations into a number of high-ranking Chechen Interior Ministry officials, including those of the Shalinskiy OMVD; Daudov met with Bobrov, following which a key investigation was closed and two investigators dismissed. Bobrov went on leave in November 2013, and shortly afterwards resigned.
