Boris Nizhevenok commanded Wagner’s Third Storm Detachment and operated in Ukraine (2014, 2022-2023), the Central African Republic (2018-2021, 2023), and Sudan (2018). He had extensive prior military experience, serving several times in Chechnya as well as in Kosovo.
