Acquisition by the Kadyrov regime
Yunimilk was formerly called Vamin-Tatarstan, but changed its name when Ruslan Alisultanov, an ally of the Kadyrov regime in Chechnya, acquired full control of the company in December 2024; prior to the acquisition, Alisultanov owned 1% of the company (Interfax, 2024).
