Brief description
The Federal Drug Control Service was a federal agency responsible for combatting illegal drug trafficking. It was folded into the Interior Ministry in 2016.
Renz (2018:101-104): Created by presidential decree in 2003 and answered directly to the president. Based on the infrastructure of the Federal Tax Police Service, which was abolished by presidential decree in 2003. It was about 40,000 people before it was folded into the Interior Ministry. Operated both domestically and internationally.
It was directly subordinate to the president (Cooper (2007)).
