Brief description
Energetic Bear is a cyber unit subordinate to the Centre for Radio-Electronic Intelligence by Means of Communication (Centre 16), which is a branch of the Federal Security Service (FSB).
In December 2023, the United Kingdom identified it as one of the FSB units engaged in cyber espionage operations against the country (Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, 2023).
