Brief description
The Department of Counterintelligence Operations (DKRO) is responsible for combatting foreign intelligence services. As such, it monitors foreign diplomats; monitors foreign journalists; provides support to large events where foreigners are present; and provides counterintelligence support to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Riehle, 2024:31-32).
