Brief description
The Chechen Republic State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company (ChGTRK) Groznyy is a Chechen state television company founded on 23 March 2003 as Groznyy Television and Radio. It was transformed into a state company and given its current name by an edict issued by then-Prime Minister Ramzan Kadyrov on 23 March 2006 (ChGTRK Groznyy, undated).
The TV channel is a platform for the Chechen regime to broadcast its messaging. It broadcasts on satellite and terrestrial frequencies, as well as via the internet.
