The 3rd Guards Luhansk-Severodonetsk Combined Arms Army was reportedly created in mid-2024 on the basis of the 2nd Guards Luhansk-Severodonetsk Army Corps, which itself was created by the incorporation of the armed forces of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic into the Russian Armed Forces.
